Where to Stay: Town Centre, Port or Valley

Soller is a small valley and everything is close, but each area gives you a different trip. The town centre is the stone village with the square, the station, the market and the restaurants. Port de Soller is the bay, the seafront promenade and the beaches, a few minutes away by tram. The valley brings together country estates, orange groves and rural houses, and the nearby villages of Fornalutx and Biniaraix offer calm and cobbled streets.

If you are undecided, think about how you will get around: without a car, the centre or the Port are more convenient; with a car, the valley is a good option as long as you have sorted out parking.

Hotels in Soller Town Centre

A selection of hotels in the old town and its surroundings mentioned in guides and booking platforms. These are general descriptions, not ratings: services, categories and conditions change, so always check the official website.

  • Gran Hotel Sóller: a 19th-century manor building right in the centre, one of the village's classic hotels.
  • Ca'n Abril: a boutique hotel in a restored early 20th-century house, a few steps from the square.
  • Ca'l Bisbe: a quiet hotel on a street near the centre, a short walk from the square.
  • L'Avenida: a small hotel on the Gran Via, close to the train station.
  • Hotel Can Roses: a boutique hotel with a garden and pool, a few minutes' walk from the centre.
  • Hostal Nadal: simple accommodation in the centre, with a garden and terrace.

Hotels and Country Estates in the Valley

Outside the old town, the valley has options for those who want silence and views. Can Quatre is a rural estate with a pool, on the outskirts and a short distance from the centre. Ca N'Aí is a rural hotel in a country house among the Tramuntana mountains. In Fornalutx, one of the prettiest villages on the island, the Fornalutx Petit Boutique Hotel occupies a former convent with views over the valley. For all of them, confirm distances and access before booking.

Hotels in Port de Soller

If you would rather wake up by the bay, the Port offers something different: seafront hotels, boutique hotels and family-run places. The full guide is at hotels in Port de Soller, and the destination is covered in the Port de Soller guide.

Budget: How Much Does It Cost to Stay?

Prices vary a lot with the season, the room type and how early you book, so we do not give fixed figures. Broadly speaking:

  • Budget: hostels, guesthouses and simple rooms.
  • Mid-range: family-run hotels and apartments.
  • Upper range: boutique hotels in manor houses and estates with a pool or spa.
  • Luxury: higher-category hotels with full services.

July and August are the most expensive months; spring and autumn usually work out cheaper.

Booking Tips

  • Book early for summer, Easter and long weekends: small hotels fill up fast.
  • Compare the official website with the booking platforms; sometimes booking direct gets you better conditions.
  • Check whether there is parking on site or nearby, see parking in Soller.
  • Read the cancellation terms and whether a tourist tax must be paid on arrival.
  • Some hotels are adults only or close in winter: confirm this beforehand.

Best Time to Stay

Spring (with the orange trees in blossom) and autumn are the best times: mild temperatures for walks, fewer people and better prices. Summer is high season, with more heat and more going on in the Port. Winter brings quiet, occasional closures and good prices. Check the weather in Soller before deciding.

With Children or as a Couple

With children, hotels with a pool, apartments and the Port (for the beach) work well. As a couple, the boutique hotels in the old town and the country estates in the valley offer more privacy; some are adults only. Ask about cots, family rooms and pool opening times.

Getting Around from Your Accommodation

From the centre you can reach the Port on the Soller tram and set off on foot to Biniaraix or Fornalutx. If you stay further out, consider whether you need a car. To have dinner without driving, see where to eat in the Soller food and drink guide.
